The traditional British bed. An upholstered base with the headboard fixed to it, and storage built into the sides. Divans sit higher than most frames, which makes getting in and out easier, and they take a mattress without needing slats underneath.
Choose two drawers or four, or step up to a sprung-edge base where the springs run all the way to the sides.
